Acceptance & binding agreement
These Terms form a binding contract between you and Soar. By creating an account, signing in, browsing, or using Soar in any way, you accept these Terms in full, including the disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, arbitration, class-action waiver, and jury-trial waiver below. If you do not agree, you must not use Soar.
What Soar is
Soar is a streamlined flight search and booking platform that cuts through airline complexity. Soar is not an airline, charter operator, fiduciary, advisor, or guarantor of any airline’s performance. It surfaces flight inventory and facilitates bookings between you and third-party airlines through third-party booking providers. Each flight is operated under a contract of carriage between you and the operating carrier, and Soar assumes no responsibility for the airline’s performance.
Soar does act as the agent that books, pays for and services your reservation. That is what lets Soar cancel, refund, reissue or rebook a booking you made through Soar, and it is why refund and dispute support runs through Soar rather than the airline. It does not make Soar responsible for whether your flight departs, arrives, or is operated as scheduled.
Soar Atlas fares
These Terms include and incorporate the Soar Atlas Terms & Conditions. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the Soar Atlas Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to the Soar Atlas Terms & Conditions, you must not search for or book a Soar Atlas fare.
Soar Green
Soar Green is an optional tree-planting add-on. If we offer it for an itinerary and you purchase it, Soar will arrange and pay for a third-party provider to plant the number of trees shown at checkout. That number is specific to the passengers and flights covered by the purchase and is calculated by rounding up after comparing the itinerary's estimated carbon dioxide equivalent emissions with the estimate that a mature tree absorbs about 48 pounds (22 kilograms) of carbon dioxide in one year. The flight figure is an estimate; the Travel Impact Model methodology explains why actual flight emissions may vary, and the Arbor Day Foundation publishes the mature-tree absorption estimate.
By purchasing Soar Green, you give us up to one year from the purchase date to complete the planting. We may select or replace the planting provider. After the provider confirms that the planting is complete, Soar or the provider used for that purchase will issue a certificate and email it to the address associated with the purchase. Trees may be planted anywhere the provider operates and are not individually assigned, tagged, or named for you.
The one-year period is the deadline for completing the planting and the mature-tree absorption benchmark used to determine the tree count. It does not mean newly planted trees will absorb the covered flight's emissions during their first year. Soar Green does not reduce flight emissions at the source, guarantee tree survival or any exact amount or timing of carbon removal, or include an independently verified carbon credit unless the checkout expressly says otherwise.
Your responsibility
You alone are responsible for: the accuracy of every detail you submit (names, dates, passport numbers, payment information); verifying that your travel documents, visas, vaccinations, and entry requirements are valid for every leg of your itinerary; confirming flight times, terminals, and connections directly with the carrier; arriving at the airport on time; complying with airline, airport, customs, and government rules; and the actions of anyone using your account. We do not warrant the accuracy of any pricing, schedule, route, visa hint, or other content shown in the app.
Pricing, charges & errors
Prices, fares, taxes, and fees are set by the airline and may change at any time before a booking is confirmed. We may correct obvious errors (typographical, pricing, inventory) and cancel any booking made in reliance on them, even after charge, with a refund of the amount paid as the sole and exclusive remedy. All charges are final once the airline issues a ticket; refunds are governed by the airline's fare rules.
Promotional credits
Soar promotional credits, including referral and welcome credits, are discounts and are not cash, stored value, or a payment account. Earned referral rewards and redeemed promo-code credits can be combined on an eligible flight booking. Standard referral and welcome credits have a maximum value of US$25 each, or the localized equivalent shown by Soar; multiple eligible rewards can provide a combined discount greater than US$25. Welcome credits and other promotions apply separately unless their offer expressly states otherwise, and stay bookings apply one eligible credit. Soar automatically applies the eligible combination or individual credit that provides the largest discount. Credits that are not applied remain available for a later eligible booking, subject to their scope, expiration, and other conditions.
Credits apply automatically to eligible bookings. The amount applied may be less than the stated value if the eligible booking amount is lower or if a credit is limited to a particular product, route, currency, booking type, or promotion. Credits are non-transferable, cannot be redeemed for cash, and have no cash value. If Soar determines that you have exploited or attempted to exploit the credit system, including through fraud, self-referrals, fake or duplicate accounts, coordinated bookings or cancellations, or any attempt to generate or use unearned credits, we will permanently ban your account and revoke all unused credits.
Cancellations, changes & refunds
Refundability, change fees, schedule changes, downgrades, denied boarding, and involuntary rebooking are governed entirely by the operating airline and the fare class you select. Soar does not control and is not responsible for any of them. Soar manages all refund requests and payment disputes directly with customers; you should contact Soar, rather than the airline, for refund or dispute support. Where an airline issues a refund, we will pass it through, less any non-refundable fees, on the airline's timeline. Where Soar recovers value on your booking after the fare drops, “Fare Recovery” and “Credits recovered on your booking” below say what Soar may do, who the recovered amount belongs to, and how Soar is paid for recovering it.
If you purchase Soar's Refund Guarantee, the additional Refund Guarantee terms are incorporated into these Terms. The guarantee applies once to the booking as a whole, not as separate protection for each outbound, return, connecting, or multi-city leg. You must complete the cancellation through Soar before the scheduled departure of the first flight in the first itinerary leg. Once that time passes, the entire booking is ineligible under the Refund Guarantee, including every connection and return leg, whether or not you boarded the first flight. A no-show does not preserve coverage. The Refund Guarantee fee itself is never refunded. Nothing in the Refund Guarantee limits any non-waivable refund right you have under applicable law, including rights arising from an airline-initiated cancellation or significant schedule change.
Fare Recovery: appointment of Soar as your agent
Airfares move after you book. Soar watches the fare on your booking and, when it drops and the airline allows it, changes your ticket to the lower fare with the airline. The airline usually issues the difference as a credit in the traveller’s name. This section is your authorization for Soar to do that on your behalf.
Appointment. You appoint Soar as your agent, and grant Soar a limited power of attorney, to monitor the fare on bookings you made through Soar and, when the fare drops, to change your ticket to the lower fare with the airline on your behalf. Soar does this without asking you each time, and tells you afterwards what it did. The appointment also covers the steps listed under “What Soar may do” below. It is limited to those powers. It gives Soar no authority over anything else you own, owe, or decide, and it creates no general agency. It takes effect when you accept these Terms and continues until you end it.
What Soar does and does not do as your agent. When Soar changes your ticket to a lower fare, you stay on the flight you booked. Where the airline’s change tool requires it, Soar may move you to an equivalent flight the same day while it moves you back to the flight you booked, and you stay on that flight only if you ask to (“Change and change back” below). Soar only makes a change the airline allows at no cost. Soar never charges you for making a change, and never pays the airline a fare difference itself to make one. If a change would cost anything, Soar does not make it. Where Soar instead cancels your ticket and buys the same itinerary back (“Cancel and rebook” below), the replacement is paid for from the refund of the ticket it replaces. Soar does not pay a fare difference itself there either, and does not charge you for it.
What Soar may do. For a booking you made through Soar, Soar may: (a) cancel, void, refund, reissue or rebook that booking through the channel Soar used to sell it; (b) contact the operating airline about that booking, in your name where the airline requires it, identifying itself as your agent; (c) submit that airline’s refund, price-guarantee or credit claim forms for that booking; (d) receive any refund, travel credit, voucher or e-ticket credit the airline issues for that booking and hold it under “Credits” below; and (e) receive and act on the airline’s booking-related messages sent to the contact details Soar recorded on your reservation, including verification codes, as described under “Verification messages” below.
What Soar will not do without asking you first, each time. Change your dates, times, routing, or the passengers on your booking, except a same-day change that Soar immediately reverses so you end up on the flight you booked (“Change and change back” below); cancel travel you still intend to take, other than a cancellation Soar immediately reverses by rebuying the same itinerary (“Cancel and rebook” below); accept a travel credit or voucher in place of a cash refund you are entitled to receive in your original form of payment; give up a seat assignment, bag, cabin, fare class or benefit you paid for; or agree on your behalf to any airline term that limits your rights. Soar will not use your airline loyalty or airline website account, and will never ask you for those passwords.
Cancel and rebook. To capture a lower fare, Soar may cancel your ticket while the airline still refunds it in full and immediately buy the same itinerary back at the lower price, paid for from that refund. Soar prices the replacement and arranges the money for it before it cancels. Even so, between the two steps you hold no ticket, so this is the one way of recovering a fare in which you do not stay on your ticket throughout. If the replacement seat is gone in that gap, a person at Soar works to rebook you on the same itinerary, paid for from the same refund, and tells you what happened. If the same itinerary then costs more than the refund, Soar does not pay the difference and does not buy it without asking you. You choose between the closest itinerary the refund covers and the whole refund returned to you. Cancelling and rebuying loses anything attached to the original ticket that the new fare does not include, which can include seat assignments, bags, cabin and fare class. Soar will not run this on a booking where it can see you paid for extras it cannot buy back.
Change and change back. On some airlines the lower fare can only be captured through the airline’s own change tool: Soar changes your booking to another flight on the same route and immediately changes it back to the flight you booked, and the airline issues the fare difference as a travel credit in your name. You keep your original flight, and the credit is handled as set out under “Credits recovered on your booking” below. If the second change does not complete straight away, Soar keeps working to return you to the flight you booked and tells you where you stand.
Verification messages. Airlines send booking messages to the contact details on the reservation. Where those are operated by Soar, you authorize Soar to receive them and to use a verification code the airline sends for that booking, for that booking only. Soar will tell you which verification codes it used on your booking and what each was used for. Soar will not use a code for anything other than the action it names, and will not use one to open, change or access any account of yours.
Ending it. You can turn Fare Recovery off at any time by contacting Soar support. It ends immediately for anything Soar has not already started, and does not affect credits already held for you, which stay governed by the section below.
Credits recovered on your booking
Credits in the traveller’s name. When Soar changes your ticket to a lower fare, the airline issues the difference as a credit in the name of the traveller on the ticket, such as a United future flight credit, an American Trip Credit, a Delta eCredit or an Alaska credit certificate. Because the credit is in the traveller’s name, the airline lets it be used only on a ticket for that traveller, and it expires on the date the airline sets. Some airlines, including United for a ticket Soar issued, let a credit be used only through the agency that issued the ticket, so that credit can be spent only through Soar. Soar will tell you when a credit is issued, its amount, the traveller it belongs to, and its expiry date where the airline gives one.
Half is yours, half is Soar’s fee. When the airline issues a credit through Fare Recovery, half of it is Soar’s fee and half of it is yours. You receive your half as a reduction in the price of your next booking with Soar on that airline. For example, if United issues a $100 credit, you have a $50 credit toward your next United flight with Soar. Your half is a credit toward a flight. It is not cash, and Soar does not pay it out as money.
Spending the credit on your next booking. When you book your next flight with Soar on that airline and the traveller the credit belongs to is a passenger on that booking, Soar applies the whole airline credit to the new ticket and charges your card the price of the booking less half of the credit applied. Soar keeps the other half as its fee. Soar never applies a credit to a booking that does not include the traveller it belongs to. If the new fare is less than the credit, Soar applies as much of the credit as the fare takes, you receive half of that amount, and the rest stays with the airline in the traveller’s name, split the same way when it is spent later. If a credit expires before it is spent, neither you nor Soar receives anything for it. Soar applies credits this way only on the airlines where its checkout can do so; until then the credit stays with the airline in the traveller’s name.
No cash fee. Soar does not charge your card any fee for Fare Recovery. Soar’s only fee is its half of the credit, and Soar receives it only when the credit is spent on a booking with Soar. If the airline returns the difference as a refund rather than as a credit, Soar refunds all of it to your original form of payment and keeps none of it.
Bookings made before September 24, 2026. The split above applies to bookings made on or after September 24, 2026. For a booking made before that date, the whole credit is yours: Soar takes no share of it and charges no fee on it.
Credits that are Soar’s. Where Soar has already paid you for a loss, including any payout under the Refund Guarantee, a goodwill refund, or any other payment Soar made to make you whole, and the airline later returns value on that same booking for that same loss, that recovery belongs to Soar up to the amount Soar paid you. To that extent you assign Soar your rights against the airline for it, and authorize Soar to claim and keep it. Anything the airline returns beyond what Soar paid you is handled as set out in the paragraphs above. This is the ordinary rule that stops the same loss being paid twice; it does not reduce any refund you are owed and have not already received.
Disclaimer of warranties
Soar is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We expressly disclaim all warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, availability, security, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We make no warranty regarding any airline, third-party provider, or travel outcome.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Soar, its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, opportunity, baggage, time, accommodation, alternate-transport costs, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with your use of Soar, even if advised of the possibility of such damages and even if any remedy fails of its essential purpose. Our aggregate liability for all claims arising out of or relating to Soar shall not exceed the greater of (a) the booking fees actually paid by you to Soar (excluding amounts remitted to airlines or other third parties) in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) US$100. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limitations; in those jurisdictions our liability is limited to the smallest amount permitted by law.
No liability for third parties
Soar is not responsible or liable for any act, omission, delay, cancellation, schedule change, equipment substitution, denied boarding, lost or damaged baggage, injury, illness, death, property damage, force-majeure event, strike, weather, government action, security incident, or any other conduct of any airline, airport, payment processor, identity-verification provider, government, or other third party. Airline operational liability is governed exclusively by the airline's contract of carriage and the Montreal or Warsaw Convention where applicable.
Force majeure
Soar is not liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, natural disaster, war, terrorism, civil unrest, pandemic, government action, labour dispute, infrastructure or network failure, cyber-attack, or third-party outage.
Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Soar and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of Soar, your bookings, your content, your breach of these Terms, your violation of any law, or your infringement of any third-party right.
Acceptable use
You may not use Soar to commit fraud, launder money, evade sanctions, scrape data, reverse engineer the service, circumvent security, abuse other users, infringe intellectual property, or violate any law. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any reason or no reason, and we have no liability for doing so.
Intellectual property
Soar and all related software, content, trademarks, and design are owned by Soar or its licensors. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the service for personal, non-commercial booking purposes only. All other rights are reserved.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules and without application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods.
Arbitration & class-action waiver
Any dispute arising out of or relating to Soar or these Terms shall be resolved exclusively by final and binding individual arbitration administered by JAMS under its applicable rules, seated in Wilmington, Delaware, USA, in English. You and Soar each waive the right to a jury trial and the right to participate in any class, collective, or representative action. The arbitrator, not any court, shall decide all issues of arbitrability. Either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual-property or confidentiality matters. If the class-action waiver is held unenforceable as to any particular claim, that claim shall proceed in court and all other claims shall remain in arbitration.
Time limit on claims
Any claim arising out of or relating to Soar must be filed within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or it is permanently barred, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Changes
We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes take effect upon posting. Your continued use of Soar after a change constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a change, you must stop using Soar.
Severability & entire agreement
If any provision is held unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force, and the unenforceable provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Soar regarding the service and supersede all prior agreements. No waiver of any term shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them freely.
Account termination
We may suspend or terminate any account at our sole discretion, with or without cause, with or without notice, and without liability. You may close your account at any time from Settings. Sections of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers, limitations of liability, indemnity, arbitration, and governing law) shall survive.
